Tick Tock Literacy Tip of the Week!

Make a grocery list together and identify the letters on the page.

This is a two-in-one deal; finish your grocery shopping and promote early literacy all at once. What letter does milk start with? What color is lettuce? How many packs of yogurt did Mommy say she needed? (Everyone needs a little help sometimes.)

And when you do go to the grocery store, don’t forget to help your kids bone up on their color recognition. What letter does “Apple” start with — and what color is it? After all, we’re kicking off our first Spring Story Time with Colors and we want to make sure everyone has lots of practice. Download your copy of our Story Time Quick Picks handout for a complete list of songs, books and rhymes with a wide pallet of information.
